Tank location and condition, sludge and scum levels, baffles, pipes, and visible drain-field stress. Pumping is often done at the same visit if the tank is due.
County review
New systems and many repairs go through the St. Clair County Health Department. Routine pumping usually does not need a permit. Confirm before larger work.
